Just wanted to say Hello.

Steps to increase WordPress website speed
You've just launched your shiny new WordPress site and already people are complaining that it's slow. You know that this isn't true, but how do you prove it? The best way is to speed up your website. Fortunately, there are some simple steps you can take to increase the speed of your site and make sure no one has any reason to think that it's slow.

Compress the files you upload to your site
You can also compress files in your theme or plugin folders. This is especially important if you have a lot of large images, videos, and audio files uploaded to your site.

You can compress these files with a plugin like WP Smush Pro or a command line tool like WP-Optimize. Another option is to add a code snippet in your functions file.

Use a fast WordPress theme
Once you've decided on your business WordPress theme according to your business category, the next step is to check its speed with page speed insights from google. The fastest themes are those that load in under one second, but this may not be realistic for every site. We recommend using a theme that loads within two seconds or less as it will give your visitors a better experience overall.

To find out how long it takes your site to load, go to Page Speed Insights Tool and enter your website URL then click "Start Test." You can also use Google Analytics data to see how much time users spend on your site before leaving (this won't give you an exact number for each page load).

Optimize the images you use on your site
Next, make sure to optimize your images before uploading them. This will reduce the size of your images and therefore speed up your website. You don't want to use image editing software like Photoshop or Gimp to compress them because you risk losing quality in the process. Instead, I recommend using a program like TinyPNG (an online tool) or Kraken (a desktop app).

How much should you compress an image? That depends on how much you can stand to lose in terms of quality-the more compression applied, the smaller the file size but also the lower the quality. When compressing images from my own blog posts and client sites, I like to aim for around a 20% reduction in file size without noticeable degradation of visual quality; something like 60% would be too much for most purposes though some people go even further than that with great results if they're okay with lowered image fidelity."

Limit the plugins you use on your site
It's hard to beat the convenience that plugins offer. They allow you to add functionality like social sharing buttons, contact forms, and more without having to write any code yourself. But plugins can also have a negative impact on your site's performance-especially if they're not updated regularly or don't play well with other plugins you've installed. (There are over 50,000 free WordPress plug-ins available for download.)

To keep things running smoothly:

Don't install any plugin unless you absolutely need it on your site. You'll know if a plugin is slowing down your site by checking its weight in Google PageSpeed Insights; if it's above 500KB in size (or 0% compression), consider uninstalling it or replacing it with an alternative that uses less code and resources.

If the plugin isn't up-to-date, update it immediately! This way, if there are any bugs or issues that were addressed in newer versions of the software but haven't been fixed yet on older ones (e.g., security flaws), they won't affect your website's performance adversely anymore once they've been patched out by developers working at each company involved directly since then-and since updating takes only minutes per item listed under "Manage Updates" when logged into GitHub directly via website URL format with username login credentials entered first before clicking "Sign In" button below header image icon followed by typing standard password shown below this text box.

Enable gzip compression
Gzip is a data compression algorithm that reduces the size of files. In other words, it shrinks your site's images and other media to speed up your website. Gzip is supported by all browsers, so you don't have to worry about compatibility issues or losing visitors because they can't load your site.

You can enable gzip compression in WordPress by using either of these plugins:

WP Super Cache website

W3 Total Cache website

Enable browser caching.
Browser caching is the process of storing a website's content on your computer so that when you visit it again, it doesn't have to load from scratch. This way, the next time you visit the same page (or any other page with similar content), it will be loaded much faster because no bandwidth is being used to download files that are already stored on your computer.

To enable browser caching: Go to Settings >Permalinks in WordPress Editor Mode and choose an option other than Default. Now go back through each category and make sure all posts have unique permalinks (by changing them if needed).

Minimize any redirects
Redirects are used to send users to different URLs. There are two types of redirects: 301 and 302.

301 redirects are permanent, meaning they should be used for old URLs that have changed permanently. For example, if your site's old URL was website and you've since changed it to website you'd want to set up a 301 redirect so that any time someone visits the old URL they're automatically redirected to the new one (you could also use this method if you just wanted them sent somewhere else entirely).

This way no links break when people try to access your website through older links; they'll always land on the right page instead of getting lost somewhere in cyberspace or worse yet landing on an error page! You can set these up by going into Settings >Permalinks in WordPress Control Panel and clicking Save Changes afterward - but only once! Otherwise, all those other changes will get overwritten when saved again later."

Minimal Design
When you're designing a website, it's tempting to add every feature and bell and whistle that comes to mind. But if your site is too busy or cluttered, then users won't have an enjoyable experience when they visit it. That's why minimalism is becoming so popular: It keeps sites simple and easy on the eyes, which ultimately leads to happy users who browse happily!

Conclusion
We hope we've given you a few ideas to help increase your WordPress website speed. We know it can be a challenge, but don't let that deter you! The best way to improve the speed of your site is by following these steps and continuing to work on them until they become second nature.
